Title: Independant Game Development Team Post by: Muman on November 12, 2007, 05:31:37 AM Hi folks,
Checked out the first version for our work but it was too slow in uploading/downloading and boy, did it take the mgbs upload into the gigs or what! So the new version could be our hope, if it will allow me to change my status to actually read "online". Any way, we, being comprised of 8 memebers, are an international Independant Game developer team working on our first commercial release. We hope to transfer files and keep all memebers in constant touch as well as updated to the max for every version file we have (and there are heaps) Thanks for making this possible :) Cheers... PS. My Collanos Workstation isnt connecting like the old one and as I cant find where to post for help I thought to add this here. Anyone know whats the prob? I dont have LAN but do have wireless, all my ports are ok but its not connecting. Help please! Once the connection problem is resolved, this release should definitely improve your replication experience. Hint: Have you tried to increase the bandwidth limitation settings for upload and download? You can find it in the preferences. BTW, we will continue to improve the P2P sync system with every release. E.g. you can expect more BitTorrent-like behavior in the near future, like fetching content pieces from many peers at the same time and similar optimizations. Title: Re: Independant Game Development Team Post by: Muman on November 13, 2007, 09:45:39 AM Thanks Franco, but I ran into a problem with it right after updating windows to see if that would help and after waiting 10 minutes, it wouldnt connect .
I was too keen to get into a working version at the time so I changed back to 1.1 and had probs with 1.2 files interefering (they didnt get deleted) Finally resolved it all and am currently driving 1.1 till we get the hang of it at least before trying out 1.2 again. We are very tight for timelines and so reverting seem to be the wisest course for now. Cheers. |
