One of the really useful aspects of IM is the ability to know if the person on "the other end" is currently active. Most IM systems (skype, aim, yahoo, etc) tell you whether the other person is online and/or available. As far as we can tell, Collanos only records whether a use has the Workplace open and is online. For instance, I sent several messages to my business partner this morning because it showed him as online. What I didn't know was that his computer was on but he hadn't bee in front of it for a couple of hours. Is there a way to enhance Collanos so it will record someone as "Away" if there has been no keyboard activity for a user-defined number of minutes? That kind of Status reporting would make Collanos far more useful and competitive with other IM systems.
Thanks!
