Hello

I am new to Collanos. I use microsoft groove allot and wanted to move collanos as this seems a better product and it has good integration with Linux.

I installed the client on my work machine home machine and my Linux dev box and low and behold found out that I need to set up a separate account for all machines. I have know uninstalled this on my home machine and re-installed with a new user name etc. Seems to be working great wanted to talk a few guys at work into it. but some use Linux and seeing as I would be asked to do all the work getting it set up I have hit a block.

After sitting at my dev box for over 3 hours please someone tell me how to uninstall Collanos from Unbuntu 8.10.

This would be great it you could.

Also any idea how to find out you user name. On my work PC I view the members profile and I get

XXXXXX.XXXXXX's Profile.

May be I am a little nieve but I presumed this was my user name but I cannot seem to login to Collanos with it.

Any or all help would be great

 Grin PS Once I get this working it seems like it would be a great product well worth allot more Publicity. Grin

Dear Scottietohottie,

Actually you do not need to uninstall Collanos if you just want to use another use name.

Do the following:

1. Uncheck  the box "Remember my Collanos name and password" (Tools-> Preferences->Collanos Workplace-> Account Management)
2. Exit Collanos
3. Start Collanos
4. In the Login form click "Don't have Collanos name?"
5. Register new account and provide confirmation code.

* "User not found" form will be shown

6. In this form select the option "Fresh Install" and select the location for your Data [some other location than that which you used previously]

7. Log in with the new account and enjoy Collanos

I tried some many things and thought this must be possible. Man its always the obvious things that cause the problems, I think that was the biggest issue.
