Why is it that I have to complete a survey in order to remove the beta release? And then when I do not do that it hangs the control panel?

I want to be able to remove something from my computer without having to go through external steps to do so. And then to cause problems when I do not do so is beyond reasonable. I had to use task manager to stop the uninstall procedure in order to get my control panel back.

With all of the things that you have been doing without thought of your customer I no longer support this product nor will I let our global team of 12 (and growing) people use it. I am amazed how little you think of your customers that you put processes in place with no way out but through emailing the company when it should be a simple online command, causing problems to upgrade, causing problems to remove, and other things. I have seen other complaints about your processes and others who are walking away from your product even though it is free. That should give you a hint!

I am VERY disappointed in this product and the staff of this company.

Sorry to hear this Mike.

The survey is not integrated/related to the uninstall process. It is a voluntary survey for you to be able to share with the Collanos team the exact things you are posting here on the forum.
The problem you are having with the Control Panel is not known to us and we would be interested in finding out more details about it so that it does not happen to other users.

I went to the control panel add-remove programs display to remove the test version. I clicked on remove. A browser appeared with the survey requesting that I allow cookies. I did not want to take the survey so I closed the browser. I could not do anything else in the add-remove programs part of the control panel. I tried several things. Not until I opened task manager and clicked on the uninstall program and clicked on end process did I get control of the add-remove programs again. I have no idea if the uninstall actually completed the uninstall or not.

In my opinion, that is not how an uninstall should work.

In the application folder you have an Uninstaller, which is the recommended method to uninstall Collanos.

We don't know how the Remove application from the Control Panel runs the uninstall of Collanos as we cannot control this for each unique OS and settings.

If you go to the folder where you installed Collanos, are there any folders or files still there? If the Uninstaller is still there I would recommend you run the .exe file.

Thanks and hope you consider joining the Collanos community again in the future.
