Title: slow loading of documents from Collanos Post by: lhowe on June 06, 2007, 02:58:45 PM I'm a new user of Collanos. My problem is that when I open a file from Collanos, my computer (not just the program needed to open the file) freezes up, sometimes for a full five minutes. Eventually, the file opens and I can use it. Meanwhile, I'm sitting around doing a lot of waiting.
I understand that Collanos uses Java for some of its functions. Java has always been buggy on my system -- is there a setting or something else that I can do to make it work better? If this is not the reason for the slow opening of files from Collanos, what else might be causing this? I use Windows XP. We are trying to standardize on ports being used with the application and this may be the reason for the slow down. A fix is on its way. Thanks for your patience. |
