Sergio Burdiles had been involved in projects oriented to advanced communications, including the first broadband videoconference transmission between Chile and Japan in 1997. That year, he resided in NTT Laboratories in Tokyo, Japan, working in the development of dynamic servers for multimedia applications. During 1999, he worked at the University of Chile developing new business models for a virtual office in Telefonica Mundo (Long Distance Telecommunications company). In February 2000, he went to New Jersey, USA at Royal Olivetti Office USA to work in the formulation of strategies for the introduction of new products and technological services for the American market. By the end of 2000, he worked as Products & Technologies Manager in Apple Chile. Since 2002 until 2004, he has been consultant in information technologies for government projects (Sernac, Dibam e Intec) and private international organizations (Apple Computers, Fundacion Chile, among others). After that, he joined Fundacion Chile first as a Project Manager, working on Research and Development of new business opportunities in ICT and currently supporting the development of new external business opportunities in the Chilean’s economy key clusters in the Business Development Area. |
