Creating Task Objects

Task Objects allow you to assign yourself and any other team members a task, set the start and due dates, update progress and write in detail the actual assignment.

  1. To create a Task Object, highlight the folder where you want to add it and then click on the "Add Task" icon in the tool bar.

    The "Create New Task" dialog opens.

  2. Complete the form and click on the "OK" button.

    Notes:

    • The only field that is required is the "Name" field. All other are optional.
    • The default member assigned the task is yourself, however, you can assign the task to any member in your workspace.
    • The "Start Date" defaults to the day it's created but it can be modified.
    • Same applies to "Status", "Progress" and "Priority" fields. Their default settings can be modified as the task progresses.
    • Apart from the "Created by" field, all fields can be revised by any team member with the right permissions.
