Title: Notification: How to stop pop Up new messages? Post by: adx7048 on April 29, 2009, 09:47:26 PM Hi,
is it possible to hide notification pop up messages in the right corner? The problem: everytime I am using another program (e.g. OpenOffice) and a "notification message" appears the system switches to collanos and I have to re-activate the other program (e.g. click back to Open Office). Is there a way to deactivate the message - so I can work without such interruption?! BR Title: Re: Notification: How to stop pop Up new messages? Please do the following: 1. Go to Tools->Preferences-> Notifications and 2. Switch off all types of notifications which you do not need (i.e. uncheck the corresponding boxes) Please let me know if this helped. Title: Re: Notification: How to stop pop Up new messages? I almost tried your proposal but it does not work. Is there a documentation for the meaning of the 4 notification terms? ("Following", "Sound", "Ballon" and "Red point") Maybe the german translation is too bad ... BR Title: Re: Notification: How to stop pop Up new messages? I guess you want to get rid of these annoying ballon messages. Just remove the green checks in the column ballon (the third collumn) . Note, you have to klick on apply (=anwenden) afterwards, otherwise the changes are not stored. cheers :) Wonf Title: Re: Notification: How to stop pop Up new messages? you are right I want to get rid these messages. But I tried to uncheck the ballon column and also pushed the apply button but it does not work. (I also restarted Collanos: ballon collumn is still unchecked but but messages appear) ??? Title: Re: Notification: How to stop pop Up new messages?
