Title: Some more very basic questions? Post by: enric on November 22, 2006, 04:07:11 AM First.. To create a new file. ie. Say a new word file.
Open Word. Create the file. Save it to a temporary location. Add it to workspace. (can't drag yet. :) ) Then delete the file from the temporary location? Is that right? Surely everyone thinks that's a lot of steps to create a file. Second.. Getting files out of workspace. What if we use this program for a year and make a lot of files? Then a new boss, a better program and for whatever reason we want to use a different program or back to just regular structure? How so I get the files out of here? I can 'save as' for each single file but that's not an option for thousands of files. I'm a total newbie. Just installed it, so sorry if I just don't get it. Thanks... enric Title: Re: Some more very basic questions? Post by: Gil Heiman on November 22, 2006, 05:08:11 AM Regarding the first question, once we integrate between the OS file system and Collanos you will be able to skip the step of saving the file to a Temp folder. Cannot tell you yet when this will be available but we realize that it will make life much easier for our users.
As for the second question, drag and drop will be available very soon and will allow you to move multiple files (or folders) from your computer to Collanos and vice versa. Hope this helps Enric. In that program all projects you create in turn create a project folder found in the main project folder within the user's documents folder. If you save something there it's included and if you need something the way Entourage sets up the directory structure is intuitive. Just some 2 cents...

I cannot remember this exactly, but did we disable the drag&drop functionality? Title: Re: Some more very basic questions? Post by: Gil Heiman on May 31, 2007, 06:26:38 AM Drag & Drop should be working properly. Where does it not work for you?
