Users on Mac, Linux and Vista,

We recommend that you Do NOT install Collanos in the default application directory!
Even if Collanos prompts you to install the application in a certain directory be sure this directory is not your Applications directory or a location where you do NOT HaVE full write permissions. With Mac, Linux and now Vista Collanos Workplace has this conflict.

Collanos writes back configuration information to where the application is installed and therefore requires the full rights to write into that directory. Problem is that with these (more rigid) operating systems, user by default do not have write permissions in the Applications directory.

Therefore, users need to install the application in a directory where they have full-write access (for example on Linux: home/user/collanos_program). This will be addressed and corrected in a later version of Collanos.
