Hi

I have some problems with my Collanos Workplace if I use the Leopards virtual desktop spaces.

Scenario:
1. Open Workplace in space 1
2. Open an office application in another space
3. double clieck to open a document from a Workplace
4. the document will be opened in the other space where the office application is already open.
5. save the document
6. switch to the Workplace
7. the message box which are ask to save the changed document in the space are open .. but not shown on screen. If you made a right-click on the dockbar icon of the Workplace, you can see that a message box is open.

The whole Workplace are blocked now. The only way to solve this problem is to force quit the application Sad

Regards
Martin

Hello,
I have tried to reproduce your case in different variation.
First one was:
1. Start Collanos in Space1;
2. Open Office document in Space2;
3. Open Office document from Collanos -> you are right that it is not really convenient that it is opened in Space 2;
4. Make some Changes in document and click save button;
5. Open Space1 and apply changes to Collanos.
Result: Collanos work fine, changes are applied to Document;

Next scope:
1. Start Collanos in Space1;
2. Open Office document in Space2;
3. Open Office document from Collanos;
4. Move document to Space3 and make some changes;
5. Move document to Space4 make some changes and save document;
6. Open Space1, you'll be automatically redirected to Space4 with Collanos window and apply changes to Collanos;
7. Go to Space 1, where Collanos is.

Result: Collanos work fine, changes are applied to Document;

Can you please provide reproducible case or describe your steps more detail?

Hello,

We made investigation and above is result of our work. We can fix this if it is reproducible problem, because it seems like this trouble depends on OS aspects.

Dear all,

Encounter the same problem almost every day on Leopard.
Don't know if it has to do with spaces as I mainly work in one space.

Problem: I open various documents in Collanos (excel, pdf, powerpoint). I work on the documents. I go CTRL-TAB to Collanos once again and notice that the screen is greyed out. It appears that a window with the question "File has been changed, do you want to save" is located somewhere behind the main Collanos screen. I have tried everything (CTRL-TAB, Exposé) but I cannot get to this screen.

Workaround is to hit Enter, but that's the same as entering Yes to question "File has been changed, do you want to save" and that's not always what you want. Only solution left is Force Quit Collanos.

Pls help,

Best regards,
Menno

Can you manually select window with save request and choose variant by mouse click? Window about applying changes appear on save/close operation on the document -> so if you don't want to save changes you may use save as and save document locally or using tab selecting cancel on the Save Collanos window. If you want to save file - click Enter.

Dear Anny,

Off course there are work arounds, but this just happens to me a bit too often. It's just annoying.

Should be someway you guys can fix this, right Smiley
Just make sure that the 'Do you want to save'-window ALWAYS appears in front of main Collanos window Smiley
Or am I thinking too simple now?!

Dear Anna,

I'm experiencing the problem again today. Have worked on and opened/closed many office documents today. I click on the Collanos icon in the dock, and Collanos opens, but I can't select nothing, because somewhere is a window 'File modified, save yes/no'. I have tried everything, but there's just no way I can make this window appear. Also I don't know to which file this window is refering... When I press enter, the modified file will be updated in Collanos, but maybe that's not what I want, as I don't know WHICH file is being updated. So here I go again: 'Force quit' and hope for the best as I had already closed all Office application windows...

Very, very, annoying, please let me know that you can duplicate this and that this bug will be solved on a short notice!

Many thanks in advance, Menno
