Board use - but length of time info is stored?

I serve on a Board of Directors for a non-profit, and I'd like to encourage them to use Collanos to retain pertinent documentation (bylaws, articles of incorporation, etc.), collaborate on projects and communicate.  It seems like a great method for dynamic collaboration, as well as a way to retain institutional memory.  But, I'm worried about the length of time information is stored in Collanos.  I read some where on the website, that the workspaces/data is stored for a period of two years.  Is this true?  What if the site is still in active use? 
What are the options for migrating information elsewhere if the site is to come down?

Hello,
where did you read this. Your data is not stored anywhere except on the members PCs and you decide how long it stays there.
So no limitations at all.
Where did you read about such a limitation?
Please let me know to correct this.
BTW the use of Collanos by board of directors is quite compelling. I know a couple of board members promoting the use of Collanos to their peers. I will try to get a couple of these teams to share what they do and what they are experiencing.
