A suggestion from our user has arrived to provide an option to clear all messages shown in "Messages:" box in the right bottom corner of Collanos Application window.

Implementation may be as follows: you will right-click "Messages:" box and from the context menu select the option "Clear all".

The user says it may be very boring to read through all of them.

So, we invite you to vote in this new poll.

If you have some additional comments or suggestions on this potential new feature, please feel free to comment right in this topic.

I am glad to inform that this feature was chosen for implementation.

Probably it will be implemented already in the next release , which is expected in June-July 2009.

I must investigate where I can tame the flood of messages that appear.

I'm not really that interested in which file/directory something has happened (a tick mark or something is enough for me), but discussion changes are important as they tend to be quite dynamic.

Can one choose what becomes a message and what not?  And are "new" items marked (in which case you also need something that "unmarks" them - you don't always need to access something new).

I would like the message window to appear in a location I can control (or even as a slide-out from where they appear) - I also have dual screen and at first I thought messages were a pain to get hold of Roll Eyes

Hi there,

on my mashine (Mac OS 10.5.7, Collanos 1.4.0.2) new messages keep on popping up all the time forcing other apps into the background.
"Alle akustischen Signale deaktivieren" is marked.
With sometimes over 20 messages in 5 minutes i can do no other work!

Could you PLZ add an option to switch off all notifications or to send the pop-up window constantly to stay in the background. Thanks a lot and also for the great work on this application!

I have about 300 messages in my box because I was invited to a space and before I unchecked notifications I got a bunch of messages telling me new files were added. When I try to right click the messages and left click the 'clear all' option literally nothing happens.  Also why is there a lengthy delay on clicking one message before the message box pops up again to click another?  Our company is trying to use Collanos as an alternative to Groove but we need to be able to understand how to use it for our purposes which includes using the clear all feature as sometimes documents are moved around quite a lot in the workspaces.  Thank you.

I had to invite all my PCs under different usernames, so when I dumped in our 5000 file directory I got swamped on ALL the PCs (before I knew there was a disable feature). Is there really no way to just clear all? It's a horrible idea. Please fix.

I was actually forced to stop using Collanos in my Linux 11.2/KDE4 distro and revert to windows 7 because of this maddening problem.

Of course, this opens a new problem as well: the fact that I can't change machines for a userID on Collanos without weeks of torture due to the foolish machine dependency that seems to be built in. But that's another story.

Back to this particular poll: Not only do the messages mean nothing since there is nothing that can be done about them, since they are not actionnable, but they consume an unexpectedly high amount of computer resources and when I have more than 200-300 messages, collanos seems to basically stop.
