Lighter-weight to do lists

The to do lists in Workplace are robust.  Most of the time, though, I just need a list of items that I need to accomplish or assign to someone else.

Nine times out of ten it would help me to be able to "check off" my to do items from the to do list itself instead of having to open it up.
