Please advise what this message means.

I am currently trialling Collanos and it appears to be just what we're looking for.
Unfortunately, I won't be able to use it unless I can reliably get workstations to communicate.

They seem to go online and offline at will (usually offline).
There are no network or connectivity issues with any of the workstations.

We have the same problem, and I've seen it elsewhere in these posts.

Yep, me too.
Strangely all workstations came online just after I posted this thread.
Coincidence?  Huh

Or witchery?  Shocked

All trial workstations have been online all morning, now they've all just gone offline.
Again no network or connectivity issues, workstations are on two different sites.

No response from support.

However promising this product looks, I can't use it in a production environment.

What a shame.

I'm still seeing this issue a LOT.  My company was interested in Collanos, but after 2 hours of testing, we've barely gotten anything to work at all...  Our program is constantly going on/offline all by itself with no sort of indication at all to what the problem could be.  I just now restarted my PC, reinstalled Collanos, and instantly it put me offline and I am "Unable to change current status, please try again soon".

We have a team of 30 that has been using Skype for 2 years without a single tiny little bit of an issue, but Skype has no task tracking, discussions, etc...

Please fix ASAP so we can use this otherwise great program!  (Also, some sort of confirmation from tech support that you are actually seeing this would help...)

I reinstalled Collanos today due to a mistake I made last night (accidentally hit 'uninstall', but then canceled right away, but think it still managed to delete some files cuz the program wouldnt even come on stating errors with a file that didn't exist when I looked for it).

When I fired up Collanos this time, I logged in with Collanos Phone, and then my workspace connected.  Yay, I am online again!

I'll need to get some peers online to do some more testing, but the testing we did last night was horrible...  I'll post again after a few more hours of testing and let you know how it went...

PS:

A simple forum search for  "Unable to change current status, please try again soon" revealed a LOT of your users are experiencing these connection issues.  Maybe it's just me, but... don't you need to be connected to your peers in order to collaborate on a project?   One would think this to be a maximum priority issue that the Collanos team would want to address ASAP...  Kinda defeats the purpose of team collaboration software if the members can't even connect to each other...

I was just online for about 20 minutes.  As soon as I posted a reply to a single discussion, I got kicked offline and it refuses to let me back on...

FYI:  I am using Windows 7 and my associate is using Windows XP Pro SP2.

Also Note:
The 'traffic' indicator is showing 86.4kb out, yet I'm "Offline".  My associate is also offline (for real on his end), so where is all this traffic going and why?  Isn't that eating up my upload bandwidth for no reason at all?

Note:
Collanos Phone connects right away every time and has not failed even once.  It's JUST the workspace that is absolutely horrid...

I minimized Collanos and started surfing the internet.  After about 30-45 minutes, I checked on it and sure enough, Collanos is offline again.  I tried changing it back to online and it refuses to let me, giving the same error of unable to change...

If I close Collanos 100% and re-open, it usually connects, but not always...

EDIT:
I just checked again (about 20 minutes after the last check) and now I am back online.

EDIT:
It's been a while, so I checked again and Collanos is offline again.  THIS time (and this is a first for me) Collanos auto-connected after about 5-15 seconds after looking at it, so now is back online...  Is there any way to disable to idle handler so it never signs me off automatically?  I HATE idle handlers and ALWAYS disable them on every program I use.  If I want my contacts to know I am 'idle' or any other status, I will set it myself.

Monday morning!  Fired up Collanos and once again, Collanos Phone connects immediately, so that's working great!

Workspace is STILL having issues!!  It's been "Connecting..." for the last 45 minutes...

Got online finally.. Added some files, posted in some discussions, and poof, I'm offline again.  This time, I've been stuck on "Connecting..." for over 2 hours and yet... My traffic says "485.5kb out".  What's more is, there's only me and one other person in the Workplace (we're testing for my company..) and neither one of us are online, so where is this 485.5kb going?
