I got Workplace running on a Linux box today (SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop 10 SP1). The only problem I had was my own fault.

I installed it as root, but tried to run it under my own username. I got a message saying it was already running, but I couldn't see it anywhere. I looked on your forums and discovered I needed to install with my own username. Worked like a charm.
