It is hit or miss whether Collanos will go online or not. At times it does, at other times it does not. This varies from person to person within our workspace and there is no common denominator to say why.

When you click online to go online it says try again later. This can be all day!

The firewall is fine and we have checked this and one day you can get online, the next you can't.

This is stopping are usage of what we think will be a great application!

So sorry for the trouble you are having with the current release.

Since we are launching a significantly improved version very soon, I would wait a bit longer for it and not spend too much time on the current version.

The problem you are describing is related to the main bug we have already fixed but not released. Replication issues are affecting the overall performance of the presence of peers and showing when someone is online or offline.

I hope you have a much better experience with the coming release.
Looking forward to your feedback.

Cheers,
Gil

Same problem here: last week we couldn't connect anymore. The statusline keeps calling 'connecting....' but nothing happens.....  Embarrassed

Today the problem still remains

We use the latest version of Collanos, updated it everytime: how can we get back online?

I have been testing Collanos for a couple of days by now.
My desktop and my iBook simulate two team members.
I am experiencing very serious problems to "search" for my other self each time I start a new workspace.
Results are very erratic, but you can spend hours without being able to invite a new member to your workspaces.
I think it is due to some issue with your server, because even right now I am messaging and syncing between my computers on workspaces already established, but at the same time I can't find myself on-line when I search for invite my iBook to a new workspace.

Sorry again.
We have fixed this issue and still trying to find out what is causing the server to delay the presence status of members and often not show which users are currently online.

I see exactly the same issues with 1.0.0.7 are you still working on the issue or is it fixed now... .I have it running on 2 machines and with 1.0.0.6 it was a little random but ok since upgrading they hardly ever both say that they are on line even though they are and I have restarted several times. Also get it saying that someone is on line when they disconnected over an hour ago.... all a little strange.

1.0.0.7 has been a major improvement over 1.0.0.6 but... for some reason, we are experiencing some presence problems today so our apologies. This shall be fixed shortly.

We were forced to upgrade to .7 because new people joining us can only download that version from your site and it says that it may not be compatible with older versions so we had no choice but to upgrade.

Now none of us can get online!!!! We've got to find another system so we can continue our work because we can't even share the files we have spent time getting into the system with the new workers because we can't get online to invite them even Sad

It's a disappointment for something that was working pretty well.

Sorry to hear this.

The releases are forward compatible so I am surprised that you are not able to sync between the versions once you all are on the same one.
The problems you are experiencing may not be related to the versions not being compatible but general replication issues that we are still trying to resolve.

We are planning on a major release tomorrow which may indeed resolve some of your core problems.
Hope you are able to stick it out a bit longer with us as we are looking forward to keeping you as a user and getting more feedback from your team.

Is this version just a 3 day trial ?

After 3 days of using/testing I'm allways offline. After the workspace starts, it's just 'connecting...'.

To go online results in the message 'unable to change current status. please try again soon'. How long is 'soon' ?

The software version is 1.0.2.07

We thought, this software is the right choice for our collaboration (a couple of 1-man-show companies) to save time without the classic paperware meetings.
But if we cannot connect (go online) after this strange 3 days trial period, it's not very helpful.

What can we do ?

No, this is not a trial version. Free and unlimited - ALWAYS!

Our apologies. During routine maintenance we had a server failure which prevented some users from getting online. Usually the system corrects itself immediately. Unfortunately this wasn't the case yesterday.

Everything should be working now. Please let us know if otherwise.

Cheers,
Gil
