I just installed and I cannot change my status to online.  I get the message "Unable to change current status, please try again soon."

Hello, this message normally comes if you cannot connect to the Rendez-Vous/Relay-Service on the internet. This can happen if you lose your connection to internet or if there was a problem with connecting to these internet-net based infrastructure components.
At the moment there is no other choice then than to end the application (to really exit the application - exit option through the icon in systray or the respective icon in your operating system) and restart it.
Then with the network up it should connect properly. Just retrying from within Collanos Workplace does not help. We are going to address this in a later release.
Let us know if that helps or if you run permanently into this problem (also after restarting the application). Please check whether you really have the option to go online as I assume.
Cheers

Im having the same problem here.  I get the Connecting indicator, then when I try to go "Online" it tells me thhe same thing.  I have repeatedly closed out and restarted the app with no success.  Im assuming this may have something to do with the super peers issue??

Its great when it works...  its a continual learning process isnt it!!??

Hello again, could you please test whether the problems still exist. We have added rendez-vous and relay infrastructure and will add more so that the problem should not exist anymore. Looking forward to read from you.

Trying to connect up today and it is stuck.....

It worked great yesterday both on a corporate network and on a wireless signal.  Today seems to be a different story.

The time indicates it is 9:04 p.m. somewhere right now, but it is actually 3:04 p.m. on Tuesday the 25th of September here in Michigan (U.S.)

Could you please verify once more? Just to confirm whether some network issues we had yesterday were not the reason for the problems. Thanks.

As of right now, 10:42 a.m. EST Michigan, I am not having any issues at all.  I connect up instantly, again on a corporate network, and can change status without any problem at all.  Again, you guys rock!!

Great to read that it works fine now.
We had to scale up our infrastructure thanks to the phantastic growth of our active user base. A problem we actually always were dreaming of to have - but for sure you  should not be suffering from.
With the help of different ISPs sponsoring us this should not be happening anymore.
One point in addition: Since Collanos Workplace works offline and only needs to be connected to synchronize or for the messaging, we see a temporary connection issue as less critical. It is not nice but the p2p architecture still allows you to work and synchronize later.
Pure web based online collaboration solutions in such a case would not allow you to work anymore at all.
Thanks for your feedback. It really helps us a lot if we get alerted by our community members too if there are problems.
