Extreme slow up-/download

Im using MAC (OS 10.5.2) and my friend XP.
We are both in China, in the same city.
He has excellent speeds with his staff and overseas clients.

Between me and him:
Skype has about 60 kb/s, but Collanos just 1kb/s. Or less.

My firewall is off, I have JRE 5.0, its first in list. We have checked for hours what it can be.

We cannot figure out what it is, moreover good administrators in China i have not met yet.

Up- and Downloads of small files have been succesfull, but 3 MB tool 3 hours.

I want to use Collanos Asap for my design company, since its the exact solution we need, plus it has Chinese for my staff.

could you have a look at the settings you have in each of your installations under Preferences-Connections: make sure you have at least your settings on High on both of your Workplaces. Then you can also try to make it even faster by selecting Individual, pushing apply and then under advanced bandwidth settings putting a high value for uploader and downloader speed limit (for example 3000/3000).
At least then the limitation should not come from Collanos Workplace settings anymore.
