I played a bit with the system and tried the same account on different installation and mixed them up. Ok, I now know that this doesn't work. Anyway that is ok. I reinstalled one of the clients and therefore I lost the ownership of some files. But what happens if someone deletes my file? In which conflict bin are the deleted files? So my question: is it possible to change the owner of files and folders?

Thanks
Daniel

Hello,

Conflict Bin is accessible from menu Tools->Conflict Bin (or, if it is not empty - bin icon appear in the left bottom corner of the Collanos window). If someone had modified your file  you can see this changes from the Object pane and your initial version is replaces to Conflict Bin.  File change its modifier on each edit, so let me describe it in steps:
1. User A adds file;
2. User B adds to file several symbols and stores it -> User A receives file and can view changes on double click, initial user's A file stores to A's Conflict Bin. Now B is current modifier;
3.User A open file and add several numbers-> User B receives file and can view changes on double click, initial user's B file stores to B's Conflict Bin. Now A is modifier;

As for former user - you can apply new modifier by opening it on new account and storing it without changes.

Hi Anna

I understand this so far. My problem is that some files do not have a owner (Unknown owner) because of reinstalling the software on the 'owner' PC. In which conflict bin will the file be on edit of "unknown owner" files? Is there a way to mass modify "Unknown Owner" files?

Hello,

Open that file on double click and click save, than save it in your space - if someone (let say user B) will than change it, you will have initial copy of that file in your Conflict Bin. Than if third person will change file, person B will receive his version to Conflict Bin.

Ok... but I cannot modify all of my files... this would modify as well the date/time. So there is no solution for this.

Can you add the "mass modify of unknown owners" to the feature requests?

Thanks
Daniel
