Editing/viewing files inside Workplace

I think you should make available editing/viewing documents inside workplace application in separate view or editor part. I'm doing this in my RCP product where a documents produced by my software are represented inside application. At this point of time I'm using Openoffice documents, I adopted NOA Eclipse plugin to achieve it and Acrobat reader to represent PDF documents created by iText to the user. I did this and tested for Windows platform only. NOA works for Linux, I think there is a way to achieve this and for other platforms. In Windows you can integrate most of editors and viewers trough ole and embedded it in an Eclipse RCP product. I think that integrating platform's applications with Workplace should make Workplace more pleased for everyday work.
