Hi!

Is there a problem with the Central User Directory currently?

My friends and I cannot login and get an error message:

"No connection with Collanos Central User Directory. Please check your internet connection or try to connect a few minutes later."

My internet connection is OK and I tried it several times for about 40 minutes now.

Cheers,
Gunnar.

Hi Gunnar.

Sorry about this. We did some urgent fixes to the server today which may have been the reason for your login problems. Hope things are fine now.

Works now.  Did this found on another thread.  :

----
Depending on your proxy server you need to setup up to 4 parameters through the workplace.ini file in the Collanos Program Directory (we are going to simplify this again as soon as possible).
The 4 parameters that can be set there are:
-Dhttp.proxyHost=192.168.40.78  (just an example, it is the IP address of the proxy)
-Dhttp.proxyPort=80
-Dhttp.proxyUser=exampleuser (your user ID for the proxy server, if needed)
-Dhttp.proxyPassword=examplepassword (your proxy server password, if needed)

Hi,
great that you found it. The proxy handling has been slightly adapted in the last version. Actually it has been extended. It has been in Collanos Workplace for quite a while under tools-preferences-connection (tick use a proxy server for your connection). Here you can enter the 4 parameters mentioned below.
If you install Collanos behind a proxy the first time these values need to be set in the Collanos Workplace login screen through the option proxy settings before Collanos Workplace is opened to enable the connection to the Central User Directory through the proxy.
Regards
Peter
