Overview

The Collanos product portfolio consists of a collection of modular components. They can be combined flexibly to address different solution requirements. The following diagram shows the interaction and dependency of the components on a conceptual level.

Dynamic Workplace	Everyday tool of the end user. It is a P2P desktop application installed on the user's computer. Users can easily work in shared context spaces to perform collaborative work.
Knowledge Store	Centrally installed component. Receives all information elements from registered users. Uses application models to define its structure. Offers flexible access control schemes.
Web Box	Interface layer used on top of Knowledge Store to allow Web access. Can be used in combination with or independently of Dynamic Workplaces.
Business Model Designer	Tool used by power users or application developers to create or adapt collaborative business applications. Very fast iteration and deployment cycles are supported.
System Connectors	Interface modules to access legacy IT systems.
P2P Transport Layer	Core P2P technology layer used for powerful communication and data replication between Dynamic Workplaces and Knowledge Store(s). Firewall traversal is supported.
