I think a lot of people would find it extremely useful if they were to be able to do a full text search on all discussions and chats in a workplace from one location (I know I would). Implementation of this feature could be fairly straightforward via lucene.apache.org/java integration, in my eyes it would be a shame not to do it. Afterwards, if the feature is well received, you could work on indexing other content types as well.

It would be very usefull....
Just simple text search to list all objects wich name or content contain certain words...

We have considered this issues and put it on the list.
