Connections Preference section will allow you to manage your workplace bandwidth settings and proxy connection.

Bandwidth that you have (Download/Upload in KB/sec)

In order to make maximum use of your bandwidth and prevent you from overwhelming your system, you can configure your bandwidth setting. By default, Collanos optimizes your system for DSL speed, which is around 64 KB/Sec download and 32 KB/sec upload. If you have a modem connection, select the “Low” bandwidth setting. If you are using a cable or faster connection, select the “High” option.

For experienced users or for trouble shooting bandwidth issues, you can go to Advanced Bandwidths by double clicking on Collanos Workplace and manually adjusting your bandwidth settings.

Proxy Server

If you require a proxy server to connect to Collanos, then please check “Use a proxy server for your connection” check box and fill in the Address and Port for your proxy server.

You can also enter a user name and password for the proxy server is this is required. Your system administration or information technology help desk will be able to tell you what your proxy server settings need to be.

Click ok and your connection will go through your proxy server. Make sure to uncheck “Use a proxy server for your connection” once you no longer require the use of this type of connection.
