Copying Objects

In Collanos when copying and pasting a file (or any other object) from one folder to another, you are not creating actual copies of the file, rather new links/references to the same file.

For this reason, should you want to delete a 'copied' file later on, you are prompted whether you want to delete only the current reference to the file or all references in the workspace to that same file.

  1. To copy an object, highlight the object, right click and select the "Copy" option.

To copy more than one object, hold down the "Shift" button and click on the objects you want to copy.

  2. Highlight the folder where you want to paste the object(s), right click and select the "Paste" option.

The object(s) is pasted in the highlighted folder.

Once team members synchronize with your computer, the objects will also be updated in their workspaces.
