Sending Messages

  1. To send a message (similar to Instant Messages) to a member, select one or more members in the Members pane, right click and select the "Send Message" option.

    Alternatively, you can highlight the name/s of the member/s you want to send a message and then click on the "Send IM" icon in the tool bar.

    The "Send Message" dialog opens.

  2. After entering the subject and content of your message, click on the "Send" button to send the message.

    The designated members are sent the message.

  3. Members receiving the message will see a bright orange box in the bottom right corner of their task bar.

    The number of messages awaiting their attention is displayed in the same box.

  4. When the recipient of the message clicks on the text in the alert message, the "Received Message" dialog opens displaying the message.

  5. The recipient can click on the "Reply" button to send back an instant message to the team member.

Notes:

  • To send a member a message you must both be online.

  • To send all team members a message, select "Send IM to All".
    The message will be sent only to the members that are online.
  • You don't have to open the message immediately upon receiving it.
    If you prefer to close the message for the time being, you can later place your cursor over the Messages box and the message/s will reappear.
